Size 2 is the workhorse of high-flow bag filtration: 7″ diameter × 32″ long — same ring as a size 1, double the length, roughly 4.4 square feet of media and about 180 GPM in clean water service. Where flow rates are serious or solids loads are heavy, size 2 is usually the right answer.

Fits
Size 2 bags fit standard #2 housings across all major brands — Eaton, Rosedale, FSI/Pall, Parker, Hayward, Strainrite and others — and multi-round vessels are almost always built on the size 2 standard. See the cross-reference guide to translate a competitor part number.
When to Choose Size 2
Twice the area of a size 1 means roughly twice the dirt-holding capacity and half the change-out frequency at the same flow. If bags are being changed more than about once a shift, and the housing accepts the 32″ basket, size 2 pays for itself in labor alone. In multi-bag housings it’s effectively the only choice.
