Universal Filters manufactures liquid filter bags in every standard industry size and micron rating — and in custom configurations when standard doesn’t fit. All bags are made in our New Jersey plant and fit standard bag filter housings from Eaton, Rosedale, Filter Specialists (FSI), Parker, Cuno/3M, Hayward, and others.
What Is a Liquid Filter Bag?
A liquid filter bag is a fabric bag — felt, woven mesh, or layered microfiber — that seats inside a bag filter housing and captures solids as liquid is pumped through it. Liquid filter bags are rated in microns, built to standard housing sizes (1 through 4), and are the lowest cost-per-gallon format in industrial liquid filtration. They are distinct from dust-collection (baghouse) bags, which handle air, not liquid — everything Universal Filters makes is for liquid service.
Filter Bag Types
- Felt filter bags — depth filtration, 1–200 micron, polyester / polypropylene / Nomex
- Mesh filter bags — NMO nylon monofilament and polyester mesh, 35–800 micron, reusable
- Welded filter bags — ultrasonically welded filter bags with zero needle-hole bypass, silicone-free
- High efficiency filter bags — layered microfiber for critical applications
- Oil-absorbing filter bags — tramp oil and hydrocarbon removal
- Tie-on filter bags — for housings and standpipes without a ring seat
- Custom filter bags — your dimensions, your hardware, your media

Ring and Top Options
Galvanized steel, stainless steel, polypropylene, and nylon rings; plastic snap-seal flanges (P and F style); Parker C-band and Cuno-style tops; drawstring and blank tops. Handles, pull tabs, and FDA-grade media available on any bag. If your housing takes it, we build it.
